Left to right: Parma Violet, Flamingo Coral and Gone Fishing (£5.00 each)
As you can see, I only own three of these but I can honestly say that I love them all and will definitely be purchasing more. They do need more than one coat, and I always use a top coat as well just to add to the amount of time they stay. They dry pretty quickly and are very smooth to apply, and overall they’re just great nail varnishes. I think they retail at £5-£6 depending on the colour, so they’re perfect for Christmas presents!
Left to right: Pillow Talk and Brighton Rock (£8.00 each)
Again I only have two of these, but I love them both. Brighton Rock is definitely more of a statement lipstick, and I have only worn it once, but it’s such a fun colour to wear and I do really like it. Pillow Talk is a much paler pink and so I wear it much more as it is more natural and whilst it doesn’t stay all day I don’t mind having to occasionally top it up. These retail at £8.00 and I can’t wait to try more of their colours. Both of these are still available and you can buy them here and here.
Image from Topshop. (£12.00)
I went through a phase for ages of trying to find the perfect pen-style eyeliner, and honestly thought I’d found it with this. Unfortunately I found that this dried out after a month or so of using it, which was really disappointing. I now use it to take it my bag on a night out for touch ups, as I don’t really mind if I lose it. I thought I had bought this to uni with me, but after hunting round my room I can’t find it so I must have left it at home, hence the awful picture. I don’t believe they actually sell this anymore as I can’t find it on the website so I may try some of their other eyeliners, but I definitely wouldn’t repurchase this!
Face Sculpting Palette in Kick Start (£12.50)
This was a pretty spontaneous online purchase, which I actually ended up being really happy with! The highlighter is definitely my favourite and I really want to buy this on its own as I use it the most out of the four. The blush and the bronzer I personally find a little hard to use as I really hate applying that type of product with my finger, but they still look lovely when applied well. I probably wouldn’t purchase the whole quad again, but will certainly be getting the highlighter on its own!
Make Up Brush Set (£18.00)
These brushes were another spontaneous purchase as I don’t really use brushes to do my makeup, but I didn’t think it could hurt to try them out. I don’t wear eyeshadow on a daily basis so the main one I use is the large fluffy one for powder. The brush is so soft and makes applying powder really easy as it’s just the right size for my face. I have used the others but just not as often – can’t really think of anything negative to say about these – they’re great!
