Privacy Policy

Here at Lazy Thoughts, I’m not collecting a lot of your personal data. However, in light of the GDPR changes we’ve seen cropping up all over the place recently, I thought I’d chat to you about what information I do collect and who else has access to it. Let’s get cracking.

I use cookies on this website to collect information about your browsing behaviour. Cookies are placed on your device to track how you use the website. These cookies do not collect personal information such as your name or address. Some cookies will be saved for specific time periods, where others may last indefinitely. Your web browser should provide you with the controls to manage and delete cookies from your device, so please check your web browser settings to do so.

I have Google AdSense in place on this website to serve adverts and I also use sponsored and affilliate links on some pages. These links are either served through Amazon Affilliates or Affilliate Window, or are self-served through the relevant company which will always be linked. I only use trusted advertising partners who each have high standards of user privacy and security. However I do not control the actual adverts displayed by these advertising partners.

Clicking on any adverts, sponsored or affiliate links may track your actions by using a cookie saved to your device, as above. Your actions are usually recorded as a referral from my website by this cookie. In most cases I earn a very small commission from the advertiser or advertising partner, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase within 30 days of clicking my link. If you have any concerns about this I recommend that you do not click on any adverts, sponsored or affiliate links found throughout this website.

The comment section of my website uses Disqus. This collects personal information such as your email address, and all information is stored by them. Read their privacy policy for more information.

I have a mailing list which I rarely use, but all information held as part of this sits with Mailchimp; a third party service provider which allows me to send out email marketing campaigns to a list of users. For more information on the information held by Mailchimp, please read their privacy policy.

This privacy policy was last reviewed on 19 May 2018. Any queries should be sent to admin@lazythoughts.co.uk, including requests for visibility of information gathered, or its deletion.
