I know blogging isn’t all about the numbers, however numbers are an easy way of showing basic progress, and milestones are always nice. That said, my blogging goals for 2016 are as follows:
Go to three meetups. Currently I am going to #BloggersBelowZero on the 25th of Jan, but I am hoping to attend at least two other events over the course of the year.
Blog at least once a week. I’m 90% sure I’ve never missed a whole week since I started this blog two years ago, however I want to maintain consistent content, so I think making sure I post once a week at least is a way of achieving this.
I do have a few other blogging goals involving stats and ads and that kind of thing, but I’m not going to share them just yet.
I also have a few personal goals:
Start exercising at least once a week. Pretty self-explanatory. I’m unfit, I’d like to be fitter.
Stop biting my nails. Again, obvious. I’ve bitten my nails for as long as I can remember and whilst I’ve gone through phases where they’ve grown, I always manage to slip back into the habit. 2016 is my year.
Give Blood. I’m cheating a bit with this one as I know I’m allowed to give blood at the end of Jan. Hopefully I’ll be able to book myself in pretty easily and can cross this one off my bucket list!
Be more creative with my photography. This is kind of a blogging goal in that I do want to improve my blog photography (who doesn’t?) but I also want to do Dogwood Photography’s 52 week photography challenge. I don’t have my camera charger at home with me (as stated like a billion times) so I might start this on film and transition throughout the year, or I might just try and get back into film photography and do the whole thing that way. Who knows?
2015 was a great year for me; I’ve become more confident, my blogging game has improved, I’ve felt so much more at home at university, and I’m just hoping 2016 doesn’t let me down. Here’s to a year of happiness for us all.
