I’ve been meaning to do a room tour post since I moved rooms in my flat. Having not really been 100% happy with everything I’d been putting it off, but then Debenhams got in touch. They asked me if I wanted to pick out some bits from their bedding range and I cannot tell you how excited I was. I’ve been searching for new bedding for a while but haven’t really found anything I’ve fallen in love with. Now I’ve got new bedding and a few other bits that make the room seem more complete, I figured it was about time I did a room tour post, so I hope you like it.
Nearly all my furniture is from Ikea, and if you’ve been following my blog for a while then you’ll definitely recognise a lot of it. This desk area does get a little busy and cluttered, but I still really love it. The chair is one of my favourite pieces of furniture as I just think it’s really pretty.
This little section of my room has been a work in progress for a while, but after getting this bunting courtesy of Interior Goods Direct from the #BloggerPitP event a couple of weeks ago, I’m finally happy. It could definitely sit a little better on the wall and I might ultimately decide to put something else here, but it’s good enough for now.
Bedding is something I really struggle with, as I try to go for neutral rather than super girly. My old sheets were dark grey and whilst they did the job on the neutral front, I just wasn’t really a fan of them (you can see them here). My new sheets are the Aqua ‘Helsinki’ set* from Debenhams and I think they fit my neutral vibe really well.
I also wanted a bit of a revamp on the actual bedding I have, so opted to try out two new pillows. I got the side sleeper pillow for myself to see if it would help me sleep any better (spoiler alert: it does) and I got a memory foam one for my boyfriend, which he hasn’t had any complaints about either.
I’ve always been a bit of an ikea bedding kinda gal, so to find stuff I really liked in Debenhams was a bit of a surprise. If you’re in the market for some new bedding I’d definitely suggest having a look on their website as they’ve got plenty of budget-friendly options as well as a whole host of stunning-but-not-so-budget-friendly options.
