Love it or hate it, there are plenty of ways to experience Valentine’s Day. I’ll probably be spending mine with a hangover, but there are loads of ways you can treat yourself this Valentine’s whether you have a special someone to spend it with or not.
Have a pamper day
V-Day falls on a Sunday this year, so double up your weekend pamper sesh with something extra-special. Have a bath, do a face mask and watch a film or two snuggled up in bed. Go with a Valentine’s theme or ignore it altogether. Do you.
Everyone loves baking, right? I still need to make Kat’s Halloween Shortbread which looks gorgeous, and I’m tempted try it out for Valentine’s with some heart-shaped cookie cutters. Baking is a fun way to pass the time, plus you get to eat some yummy treats when you’ve finished. What’s not to love?
Get yourself some flowers
I was sent the beauties above from Debenhams Flowers, and they’ve really helped to brighten both my room and my mood. Flowers are something I rarely treat myself to (mainly because I always forget to water them and then they die) but these have lasted well so far – maybe I’m a changed woman? Some of Debenhams’ Valentine’s Flowers even some come with free chocolates so they’ll fit in perfectly with that pamper day I mentioned earlier. And yes, you can buy yourself flowers!
Organise a girl’s night.
If all your friends are totally loved-up then this might be tricky, but some well-planned Saturday Night drinks on the 13th could be fun. We’re throwing a Valentine’s Day party at my house on the Saturday evening (hence the aforementioned hangover I’m preparing for come V-day) which in my eyes is the way Valentine’s Day should be celebrated! Get a group of gals together and get some cocktails down you! Or have a quiet night in with a Domino’s, whatever floats your boat.
As a special treat for you all, Debenhams have kindly given me a 25% discount which you can use on any bouquet that isn’t in the ‘Flowers By Post’ range. Just enter DFBLOG25 at the checkout. I hope you have a great day come February the 14th whatever you end up doing, let me know what you have planned!
