We’ve been having much better weather in England since March arrived, and I’ve come to realise how few clothes I have for the warmer weather. I popped into town on Sunday morning to get a few bits and pieces to help liven up my summer wardrobe.
I tend to live in pyjama shorts all year round, but when I saw these I couldn’t resist! They were £3 and they’re just so cute! They have a bit of a Cath Kidston vibe and they’re pretty long for a pair of shorts, which makes a nice change to a lot of my summer pj bottoms!
I don’t know if it’s weird to show pants on your blog, but I’m doing it anyway. The top two pairs were a pound each, and the bottom pair were a fiver as they also came with a matching bra (which I was wearing when I took these photos so decided not to photograph). I’ve been a fan of Primark undies for as long as I can remember, and with so many styles to choose from for a pound I really don’t think you can go wrong!
Also on the underwear-y front, I picked up some new tights. I go through tights like nobody’s business – I swear they get holes in by themselves!? – and these are my favourites at £3 for 3 pairs.
Onto marginally more exciting things: I bought a new black skirt (£3) and some patterned shorts (£5). The shorts are a little shorter than I had hoped, but I think they’ll be great for summer nights out and maybe a casual cocktail evening. The skirt is just your bog standard stretchy black mini skirt, and I thought for £3 I might as well pick up a new one as most of mine have faded.
I’ve been meaning to head into the world of fitted trousers for a long time, but I don’t often get out of my comfort zone with clothes so I’ve just been sticking to jeans. I think trousers are great for spring/summer and with funky patterns like these, they’re a bit different too! The blue pair are from H&M and were £12.99, and the black and white checkered ones are New Look and were £14.99.
