What is your favourite Christmas movie/s?
I’m not actually a Christmas film fan to be honest. It was only last year that I saw Elf, and a few weeks ago that I saw Home Alone for the first time! I think The Snowman is probably my favourite Christmas film in that I think it’s the only Christmas film I can safely say I’ve watched multiple times. Although, if we’re counting Love Actually…
Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas Morning! My brother and I open our stockings first and then we all have breakfast and get dressed etc. before moving on to our tree presents. We also have a weird tradition of bringing out presents ‘that santa left behind’ just after lunch, where everyone gets a little something extra.
Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I remember once when I was quite young coming downstairs to find that there were snowy footprints all across the living room and being really excited that Santa had actually made it down the chimney! Also, I got a dollhouse in 1999 from my parents, which was a good memory at the time, but makes me smile much more now as my dad was really ill at the end of that year with glandular fever and he dragged himself out of bed every single day just so that he could finish building it for me.
Favourite festive food?
Pigs in blankets. Need I say more?
Favourite Christmas gift?
I genuinely have no idea. My parents always amaze me with their generosity and I’m always so grateful every year it would be impossible to pick!
Favourite Christmas scent?
I love the smell of Christmas trees!
Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
My mum always likes us to go to a Church service on Christmas Eve, so for the past few years we’ve been to the Children’s service but I’d like to go to Mass one year.
What tops your tree?
As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I don’t actually know. I think I was always pretty realistic with what I asked for – you’d have to double check with my mum though!
What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Getting to spend time with my family. I absolutely love the effort everyone puts in at Christmas to be nice to each other and do fun things together, which just makes Christmas enjoyable.
If you’re doing Blogmas in this year, then I’m tagging you to do the Christmas tag on one of the general days – or any day if you’re not following the project prompts! If you’re not attempting Blogmas this year then feel free to do the tag anyway to get yourself in the festive spirit!
