1. When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging last October. I’d just started university, I was bored and it was something I’d always thought about doing but didn’t think anyone would take me seriously or read what I’d written. I think in October I just decided that I didn’t really care if loads of people read my blog, I just wanted to have a place to write things.
2. How many people “in real life” know about your blog?
My family know about it, a couple of my friends know but I haven’t let them read it and my boyfriend knows. I didn’t tell anyone about it for a while but after the South East Bloggers meet up I had to mention it really and I just went from there. I’m not keen to have everyone I know read it as I’m scared of what they’d think, so linking it on my social media is a bit of a no-no at the moment, but I know my brother and my boyfriend have read a few of my posts and neither of them had anything negative to say, so if you are considering telling people it might not be as bad as you think!
3. What are your favourite posts to read?
I really enjoy hauls to be honest, as well as lifestyle posts and holiday posts as I’m just fascinated by other people’s lives (i.e. very nosy).
4. List a blog you have discovered recently.
I can’t remember anyone except May and my Bloglovin’s being silly loading people so I can’t tell who my most recently followed blogger was, but I’ve really enjoyed May’s posts recently!
5. Which post are you most proud of?
I don’t really know. I liked the photography in my recent post about my Benefit Purchases and in terms of a bit of an ‘out-there’ post, I’m proud of my Nexplanon Experience post because it took more guts to post than some of the other things on my blog.
6. Any advice for future bloggers?
Don’t be afraid of doing what you want. In the beginning I made my blog very beauty-based because that’s what I liked reading and I wanted to fit my blog in one genre. I often found myself clueless of what to write about and didn’t really feel like I knew enough about makeup to justify having what was essentially a ‘beauty blog’. Since becoming much more ‘lifestyle’ focused, I’ve enjoyed blogging a lot more and I don’t feel any pressure when it comes to what I want to write about. If you’re not enjoying what you’re posting; don’t post it.
I wasn’t tagged by anyone to do this, and I’m not going to tag anyone either, but if you want to do it then consider yourself tagged!
