Q&A: Meet my September advertisers

Q&A: Meet my September advertisers

Can you believe we’re back with another advertiser Q&A already!? August seems to have absolutely flown by (which I know everyone always says in these sorts of posts) and I’ve already seen my first lot of advertisers through which is crazy. This month I’ve got three new lovely guys and gals to introduce you to, so let’s get into the Q&A.

Eleanor Austin Up first this month is Eleanor from Blooming El. Eleanor’s been on my radar for ages so I was over the moon when she signed up to advertise with me. She’s a fellow stationery fanatic who posts a range of lifestyle content, from thoughtful pieces to more personal posts.

What’s your favourite post to date?

This is a little bittersweet but I’m going to say my post on Grief is my favourite post to date. I knew I wanted to write something after my Nan passed and I kept trying to write but I just couldn’t put it in to words. Then, one night, the words just flew off the keyboard and I’d pressed publish within about 20 minutes. I think it’s also one of my favourite posts because it resonated with so many people.

What’s one blog thing you’d like to be better at?

All that technical stuff like SEO and Google Analytics, think I need a masterclass!

What are you most looking forward to about Autumn?

EVERYTHING. I’m a February baby so Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons! I’m looking forward to it being that little bit colder, wearing boots, feeling comfortable in big jumpers, and having cosy nights in!

Where in the world would you most like to visit?

This is a tough one because there’s SO many places I’d love to visit. I think I’m going to go with…Canada. It’s somewhere that G (my partner) really wants to visit too, so I reckon, if we ever get married, it’ll be our honeymoon destination! I’d love to explore both the cities and the mountains, plus I bet Niagara Falls is amazing!

Which bloggers are you loving right now?

I am loving Flora, Sian, Becca and Hannah!

Harry Lee Writes Blog I’ll admit that I wasn’t familiar with Harry or his blog, Harry Lee Writes until he messaged me about advertising, but I always love discovering new blogs and Harry describes his as a continuous adventure of lifestyle, opinion and disney. He’s pretty new to the blogging world but he seems like a genuinely nice guy and I can’t wait to read more from him!

What’s your favourite post to date?

Hmmm, this one is a bit of a hard one for me mainly because I have only just started out and am new to the game however I absolutely loved writing my bucket list blog as I loved sitting down and collectively writing down each and every ambition. Writing each blog post makes me so exited for new posts and things to come!

What’s one blog thing you’d like to be better at?

I’d like to be better at being completely organised with my blog and knowing what to do – sometimes I feel so trapped in the deep end and end up getting so lost with no ideas, ha! Although, I’m slowly starting to see more and more blog posts that I love and that ooze ideas! I’m trying not to stick to the same thing!

What are you most looking forward to about Autumn?

I’m not too much of an Autumn person, but I love it when the mornings are nice and cold and the leaves are everywhere and you can just briskly walk and admire – well that’s if you’re not like me and end up chasing the bus down the street! I’m also not that much of a PSL fan so unlike most people that really doesn’t fuss me!

Where in the world would you most like to visit?

I actually answered this in my blog post – The Wanderlust Travel Tag – although I always have a different answer for this one, fully travel wise I would 100% love to visit Thailand, everything about it looks so perfect and I love how there is just culture everywhere. Although, for a beach – do nothing – holiday I would love to visit Bora Bora (if I win the lottery that is). Ever since the keeping up with the Kardashians episode where Kim loses her diamond earring I’ve wanted to go. Who knows, maybe I’ll find it!

Which bloggers are you loving right now?

There are so many! First off has to be Brogan Tate, I am absolutely in love with her and every single post and even vlog she creates. She makes herself appear as if you’re having a discussion with a friend. She also has such an infectious smile and of course she loves Disney too, BONUS! Of course, I’m in love with your blog too, the way it is laid out is everything, each post just gives me life! I especially love your ‘8 things blogging has taught me‘ post!

Jess Louise Keen blog Jess is a fellow blogger from way back when who writes about anything and everything. Her blog, Jess Louise Keen is a mix of crafts, fashion, food, life and travel which is such a broad range but she does it all so well.

What’s your favourite post to date?

This is a tricky one! As of me writing this I’ve got 211 live posts which span over the last 3 years so there’s a lot to choose from and across a lot of time! I think one of my favourite’s has to be one that I did back in 2015 as a part of my festive series that year, and it’s the one on how to make your own Christmas Coasters. This is one of my favourites because I remember creating these in my first semester of my second year at uni, and as things were starting to get a bit more manic in terms of coursework, I LOVED being able to come home and create my festive series. I like to show different crafts on my blog, and out of all of the ones I have done I think this has to be one of my favourites because I loved seeing the coasters come together, and I was actually able to give a few out as gifts and I still use the ones I didn’t give away at Christmas. I can’t remember if I’d seen something similar on Pinterest, or whether it was entirely my own idea, but I was (and still am) so proud of how they came out!

What’s one blog thing you’d like to be better at?

SCHEDULING. I love taking the photos, I love writing the text of a post, but when it comes to scheduling I find it takes such a long time that it puts me off scheduling so then I end up not scheduling as much. That being said though, I don’t know if others have used it and I’m just late on to the party wagon, but I’ve recently started using Buffer to schedule my tweets and I find it so much easier as when you schedule older posts you don’t have to faff around and find the photo you used from three years ago, as it reads the link and allows you to choose a photo from the post which is such a life-saver on time!

What are you most looking forward to about Autumn?

EVERYTHING. Autumn for me is the best season. I don’t know if it’s because my birthday is in the middle of autumn and then it’s two months until Christmas (is it too early to use the C word?) I’ve already got my new favourite jumper for autumn that I bought a few weeks ago and I’ve also just purchased an autumn coat and oh my god it’s so comfy it feels like my dressing gown. I love those autumn days where it’s chilly outside but bright sunshine, I’m wearing a cosy jumper, I’m able to take my dog Tilly out for a long walk in the Peak District, and then I’m able to come back from the walk and go for a roast dinner. I cannot wait for my ‘first roast dinner’ of autumn. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer and I love being in the sunshine, but I find the period of October – December so exciting and I found I feel more inspired in those months? Basically, I can’t wait!

Where in the world would you most like to visit?

I would love to visit somewhere like Mauritius, but a dream I do have is to be able to go to America for an extended holiday and travel around the different states. I’ve never been outside of Europe and I would absolutely love to (I need to save up for it though!) and I think over the years of watching various American tv shows, I’ve built up a list of cities that I want to visit and I would love to be able to do it in one trip (I’m not sure how the logistics would work though!)

Which bloggers are you loving right now?

If you’re on twitter you probably know how much of a babe Gwennan Rees at Twenty Something Meltdown is, and she’s a long standing fave. Another post that I found really helpful recently was one from Katie Middleton about her experience as a first time buyer. And of course, I’ve been loving you Megan which was a big reason as to why I wanted to advertise with you!

I am loving having these three on my blog this month, and I hope you’ve enjoyed finding out a little bit more about them! Let me know in the comments the one place in the world you’d like to visit, as this was my favourite question this month. Plus I’m always looking for new places to add to my bucket list!
